Attendance

Any student who is absent from school will report to the secretary upon returning to school. The student will relate the reason for the absence and receive a re-admit slip to return to class. If the absence is because of illness or medical or dental appointment, the student will be excused and work can be caught up and tests and assignments made up. If the absence is for other reasons than those specified in the School Act, we request the parent to contact the school and make arrangements (referable before the absence), regarding work which will be missed and tests which are scheduled. If the absence is unavoidable, we will make every effort to work out arrangements. Failure to make these prior arrangements may result in:

1. Student receiving a zero on all test or assignments missed.
2. The school not being accountable to make up work missed by the student.
3. Continuance of unexcused absents will result in suspension of the student.

Arrival Time

Students arriving before 7:50 am must check in with the principal before going to their room to work. If Junior High students want to come and play in the gym before school, they must check in as well.

Tardiness

Any student who is late for school, or any class, will be required to pickup a late slip at the office and present it to the classroom teacher. The office will deal with continual and inexcusable tardiness.
